The Story

I grew up listening to the sound of pearls falling onto the tray and the endless “knots” of necklaces, in the hands of my grandmother, mother and aunts. My grandfather, Henrique Batalha, was one of the owners of Casa Batalha, in Lisbon, founded before 1635. For me, jewelry, beads and necklaces were never just display pieces. They belonged to the home, like a relative who was always there.
